What is good for both the United States AND the democratic party?
Q. Here is a list of things that would be good for the county but bad for democrates: Success in Iraq Good Economy Strong Family/Marriage Low unemployment All of these things would hurt the Democrates chances in the election. A. Because most third parties have a limited platform. They usually of only one issue to campaign on. As voters have more than one concern, they tune out third parties.

Is the United States Congress, specifically those from the democratic party morally bankrupt and more?
Q. While I don't agree in a many ways with this war, I also see the need to get rid of an enemy that has negative balance in their regard for the sanctity of any kind of human life... even their own children. While a large part of the US government is bankrupt and overdrawn in morality and their capacity to properly defend us. we need to stay in iraq and fight this war to its end. Here is what your congress packaged with their pulling of the troops from Iraq...Does this disturb you? it should. Oh the respected leaders of congress like PELOSI are really out-doing themselves with their anti-Americanism are they not?

A. I regret that I really do not have time right now to give this answer the attention it deserves---particularly with respect to its expanded subparts. With respect to the main question, by and large Congress is morally bankrupt. Not to say there are not exceptions. The current political process almost dictates this. A politician has to talk out of so many sides of his/her mouth to obtain enough donated funds to woo sufficient votes to win an election, that the elected official is pretty well compromised beyond salvation before he/she ever gets elected. The process is one that breeds corruption greed and MIS-representation. That is instead of being OUR representative, he /she is the representative of their own selfish motives(all… [cont.]

Why do most blacks vote Democratic when the Republican party was created to oppose slavery?
Q. The Democratic party supported slavery and the Republican party was started because there was no party in America who wanted to abolish this oppression. Yet today most blacks give their votes to Democrats in exchange for government handouts, programs, and low income jobs because black people can't make it on their own (so the reasoning goes) and they need government to help them. Are black people content to live on the crumbs that Uncle Sam will dole out to them if they keep the Democrats in power?

Q. Is there really any substantive difference between the democrats in the United States and the socialist parties found in Europe? What policies that the European Socialist promote would the Democratic Party here in the USA come out against?

What is interesting is the Europeans are starting to wake up from their socialist stupor and vote in big numbers against the idiocy called socialism...all while Americans are skidding dangerously close to becoming such a nation...I hope we can swing us back before we go over the cliff that has bankrupted many countries in Europe.

Why do African Americans flock to the Democratic Party?
Q. No other political party has done more damage to the lives of African Americans throughout the history of the United States. They were one of the main parties that supported slavery and fought against the abolitionist movement. The fought against the civil rights movement and had connections with the KKK in suppressing African Americans. They were responsible for sabotaging the Black Panther Party. They were the chief supporters of the notorious Jim Crow Laws. They stood idle during the 2000 presidential election when many African Americans were barred from voting in Florida. Even to this day, they continue to fight ballot access laws to independent candidates that seek the best of interest for African Americans.

A. Sigh, so naieve you people claiming the democrats worked hard for the Civil Rights bill. Well, they did fight hard. They fought their hardest to keep it from passing. In 1922 democrats filibustered a republican bill making lynching a federal crime. Bull Conner, what a great example of the democrats love of African Americans, turned fire houses on peaceful black protestors. George "Segregation now, segregation tommorow, segregation forever" Wallace (D) 82% of republicans voted for the civil rights act of 1964 vs. 64% of democrats. Should the Democratic Party be renamed, "The Anti-Republican Party", because it lacks a unified platform?
Q. Considering the lack cohesion between the democratic presidential candidates and the members of congress on a strategic plan for the United States wouldn't a better name for the Democratic Party be the "Anti-republican party". Considering that the Democratic Party s leadership has created the notion that the democratic platform is simply whatever is contrary to the Republican's firm belief.

Was the Democratic Party win in 2006 a razor thin victory or was it....?
Q. a blowout? The Democratic Party won a majority of the state governorships and the U.S. House and Senate seats. For the first time in the history of the United States, no Democratic incumbent lost, nor did Republicans capture any open House, Senate, or Gubernatorial seat previously held by a Democrat. The voters tossed out every available republican, and replaced them with democrats.

Q. How can the democratic party unite when the candidates are hypocrites.?
Q. The democratic party informed Michigan and Florida not to move their prmarys or their delegats would be pulled. All candidates agreed not to campaing in these states and one of them even pulled their name from the ballot. Now that the candidate who thought they should be the nomanee wants all these votes to count. Is this not hypocritical? How can they even look at themself in the mirror in the morning. Is this really someone we want to be president? The Democrates could have swept this election with no problem now because of one of the candidates I feel they don't have much of a chance. Has the Democratic Party really been good for gays? ?
Q. Democrats talk about being tolerant of gays, but I have yet to see anything that they have done to further gay rights. Former President Bill Clinton went so far as to sign the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) into law, something he did not have to do, and which has paved the way for a possible (though improbable) anti-gay amendment to the Constitution. Many Democratic leaders, especially the ones who are preachers and minorities, are actually rather hostile to gay rights. In Montgomery Country, Maryland, a wealthy county with a long-standing of gay rights dating back to the 1970s, a Democratic Latino group (today representing 20% of the county's population of 1 million) marched onto the county government building actually demanding gay… [cont.]

A. I agree with your analysis. I find that the very pro-Democrat party rhetoric from the LGBT camp has no basis in fact. Democrats as a whole appear to be no friendlier or less friendlier to LGBT causes then the Republicans are. Massachusetts recognizes gay marriage not because its Democrat controlled legislature passed a law and not because its heavily Democrat laden citizens support gay marriage (they don't), but because Massachusetts' Supreme Judicial Court made it so. Another case in point, I live in a state where the legislature is 98% controlled by Democrats - the state does not officially recognize gay marriage and there isn't any sign that they are planning on changing that. Why? - The majority of the state's predominantly… [cont.]

Does the Democratic Party owe an apology to Blacks?
Q. In his book, "Unfounded Loyalty" Wayne Perryman (1) is critical of the Democratic Party s lack of acknowledgment of its racist history of supporting slavery, Jim Crow, Black Codes, racial violence, etc. and its seeming refusal to apologize to African Americans for that history. He details in Chapter Seven: The Democrats Racist Past But No Formal Apology, the history of the Ku Klux Klan formed, in 1866, as a terrorist organization in response to the Republicans passing laws and forming programs to assist Blacks. The Democrats became very angry and resentful the Democrats became the Daddy of the Ku Klux Klan. He quotes Professor Howard O.
